<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make maintenance operation easier and to improve accommodation efficiency of a repeater path regarding a data repeater in an ATM communication system. SOLUTION: This device is a data repeater which repeats a unit of data of a fixed length, that has information of a specified destination, by a repeater line formed on a transmission line. In a transmission side data repeater, a part or a whole of the repeater line contained in its own device and the bound transmission line are selectively coordinated to each other so that a total transfer speed of the repeater line of the data unit repeated by the plural transmission lines which are virtually bound becomes lower than the total transfer speed of the bound transmission lines, the unit of the data repeated to a specified destination is distributed respectively and transmitted to each of the bound transmission lines coordinated to the repeater line; and in a reception side data repeater, the unit of the data repeated to the specified destination is received from each of the bound transmission lines coordinated to the repeater line and repeated to the specified destination.</p> |
