PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer useful for purification and identification of intracellular or cell-membrane receptors for specific drugs. SOLUTION: A styrene/glycidyl methacrylate polymer of which the surface is covered with glycidyl methacrylate, binds to a substance via a spacer. A polymer wherein a substance is bound via a spacer to the styrene/glycidyl methacrylate polymer of which the surface is covered with glycidyl methacrylate, is used in a process for screening substances which can adhere to the substance.
