PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain uniform luminescence on a wide area such as an entire longitudinally long or laterally long luminescent surface in particular, with one light source. SOLUTION: This light consists of one light source 2, a first elliptical reflecting surface 3 covering the light source 2 from the back, a second elliptical reflecting surface 4 covering the same light source 2 from the front side and also having a slit 5, a third reflecting surface 6 to reflect the reflected light from the second reflecting surface 4 to the irradiating direction side and a lens 8 to cover these reflecting surfaces. On the surface of the lens 8, light passing through the slit 5, light reflected by the first reflecting surface 3 and the reflected light of the second reflecting surface 4 passing through the third reflecting surface 6 are laterally and continuously lined up side by side.
