EXTRACTING APPARATUS OF MAGNETIC POWDER

PURPOSE: An extracting apparatus of a magnetic powder is provided to gather CRUD(Chalk River Unidentified Deposit) particles which are dispersed in the first and second cooling water systems of an atomic power plant. CONSTITUTION: AC moving magnetic field generating devices(6) are mounted to both outer surfaces of a hollow body(4). CRUD particles put in the hollow body(4) together with water through an inlet pipe(1) are separated from the water and progress tilted toward a CRUD extracting pipe(3) by the AC traveling magnetic field generating devices(6). The AC traveling magnetic field generating device(6) has magnetic poles(9) and slots which are slant opposite to each other, and two coil layers on the slots, so that the magnetic fields of two magnetic plates(7) are in the same direction. A magnetic separator(15) is disposed at the CRUD extracting pipe(3). An absorber(14) having DC electromagnet(16) is mounted to the magnetic separator(15). A cleaning device(17) is mounted in the CRUD extracting pipe(3) for cleaning the CRUD particles separated from the water and adsorbed to the absorber(14).
