PURPOSE: A device for improving fuel efficiency of a diesel engine is provided to readily mix by rotating a swirl valve with some of excessive air flowing along an auxiliary exhaust pipe. CONSTITUTION: With excessive air supplied from a turbo charger(30) of an engine, some air flow enters between a fixed piston(26) of an actuator(16) and a piston on the other side of a two-way mobile piston(28) along an auxiliary exhaust pipe(38). While the piston on the other side of the two-way mobile piston is pushed, a rod including a rack moves. At the same time, a piston on one side of the two-way mobile piston moves while opening a connective path. Herein, a gear of a gear shaft engages with a rack and rotates. A swirl valve inside a combustion chamber is rotated according to the rotation of the gear shaft. Thereby, mixed air in the combustion chamber is readily mixed by the rotation of the swirl valve so that combustion efficiency is improved.
