PURPOSE: A process of preparing the titled paper by steaming a paper mulberry naturally growing in the southern area of Korea, soaking in water, peeling, drying the obtained inner portion of the paper mulberry, heating in a caustic soda solution, washing and mixing with charcoal is provided, which produces a Korean paper helpful to human health effectively at low costs. CONSTITUTION: The Korean traditional paper containing charcoal is prepared by a process consisting of: steaming a paper mulberry, soaking in water for 8 to 10 hr, peeling to produce an inner portion of the paper mulberry called as a white paper mulberry, drying, heating in a caustic soda solution for 5 to 6 hr, washing several times and mixing with charcoal to give the final product.
