PURPOSE: A device for charging of air conditioner and control method of the same are provided to calculate and display power consumption due to use of the air conditioner and expected power rate. CONSTITUTION: A device includes a key input part(110) to which a user's operation command is input; a temperature sensor part(160) detecting indoor temperature; a load driving part(140) driving a compressor and a motor to execute cooling or heating operation; a power detective device(120) detecting power consumed for cooling or heating; a microcomputer(130) controlling the load driving part according to operation command input through the key input part and indoor temperature detected by the temperature sensor part and calculating consumed power, rate, accumulated power consumption and expected power rate for a month.
