PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercooler attaching method for civil engineering and construction machine for which an oil cooler and a radiator can be inspected, repaired, overhauled and assembled without removing an intercooler hose. SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine equipped with an itercooler 9, an oil cooler 7, a radiator 6 and a suction type cooling fan 4, the intercooler 9, oil cooler 7, radiator 6, cooling fan 5 and internal combustion engine are arranged in this order. Then, the intercooler 9 is placed separately from the oil cooler 7 and radiator 6, a predetermined interval is given between the intercooler 9 and the radiator 6 and further the intercooler 9 is fixed to the hose frame 2.
