PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently restore a digital signal damaged by variations during recording. SOLUTION: A digital audio signal is supplied to an audio compression encoder/decoder 25, and the compressed signal is saved once in DRAM 27 (Dynamic Random Access Memory) via a memory controller 26 and them supplied to EFM and CIRC encoder/decoder 28. Moreover, a signal from an optical pickup 13 is supplied to an address decoder 31, and an address is supplied to EFM and CIRC(Cross Interleave Lead Solomon Code) encoder/decoder 28, and a position for recording and reproducing data is controlled according to this address data. When a servo circuit 15 detects that the optical pickup 13 has moved stepping over the track of the disk 11B and a system controller 17 judges therefrom that the addresses are not consecutive on the disk 11B, the controller operates re-recording by reading out the cluster judged that recording may have been done by mistake on the area under recording before recording is started thereon. |
