PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact sensor installable such that the lontigudianl direction of a reed switch is vertical, allowing improvement in flexibility of an installation direction. SOLUTION: This impact sensor has a reed switch 1112 fixed within a main body, including a reed contact part changing from a first state to a second state by influence of magnetic force; a magnet 1115 fixed inside the main body at a prescribed distance from the reed switch 1112; a shielding body 1116 having an area sufficient to block the influence of the magnetic force from the magnet 1115 upon the reed contact part when the shielding body 1116 is located at a steady position; and elastic members 1117a, 1117b retaining the shielding body 1116 between the reed contact part of the reed switch 1112 and the magnet 1115 at the steady position where the reed contact part it kept in the first state during the steady time, such that the reed contact part can move to a position wherein the reed contact part has the second state when the sensor receives an impact. The shielding body 1116 and the elastic members 1117a, 1117b are formed of a single spring. |
