<p>Purified polypeptides formed from amino acid sequences corresponding to domains derived from the adhesin protein, FimH, are disclosed. Also disclosed are compositions containing these novel polypeptides for use as vaccines and for generating specific antibodies for use in treatment and/or prevention of diseases, such as urinary tract infections, caused by bacteria of the family enterobacteriaceae, from which FimH is derived.</p> |
