摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a desiccant low in absorption heat, high in water absorbing capacity and excellent in stability at a low cost by heating a liquid composition containing a phosphorus source and an aluminum source by a specific ratio to a specified temperature without adding an organic template agent. SOLUTION: The liquid composition containing 0.8-6 parts mole aluminum source based on 1 part mole and water of an amount sufficient to be 2 M or less, preferably 1 M or less, AlPO4 solution is heated to 50 deg.C or higher, preferably around 100 deg.C or lower. It is not necessary that the organic template agent is added to the liquid composition before heating but seed crystals such as AlPO4-H3 of about 50μm or smaller are preferably added by about 1 mg or more based on 100 g liquid composition. Orth-phosphoric acid or the like is used as the phosphorus source and vermite (Vista Chem, DISPAL 18N4-80) or the like as the aluminum source. The crystalline aluminum phosphate suitable as the desiccant for a desiccant air conditioner can be synthesized under atmospheric pressure by heating like this.
