PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer full cassettes to the next process automatically or without operators' labor. SOLUTION: The cassette transfer device comprises a cassette 8 for accommodating paper sheets, an automatic changer for delivering forward the cassette 8 when it becomes full of paper sheets, a tray part 19 for receiving the cassette 8 the automatic changer feeds thereto, an elevating mechanism 22 for moving the tray part 19 vertically, a second guide roller for inclining the tray part 19 that is lowered by the elevating mechanism 22 until touching it or for causing the cassette 8 to slide down along the tray part 19 by its own deadweight, and a feed conveyor for feeding the cassette 8 the inclined tray part 19 guides down thereto.
