PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic foamed sheet of high quality inexpensively by improving a plastic foamed sheet manufacturing apparatus. SOLUTION: A thermal molding roll is rotated centering around a roll shaft 11 and the main body thereof consists of an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder 13 and a large number of cavities 14 are formed to the surface of the outer cylinder radially from the roll center shaft 11 and one or many spiral grooves 15 formed at a constant angleθ1 of inclination from the center shaft 11 are provided to the contact surface with the inner cylinder 13 of the outer cylinder and the grooves 15 and the bottom parts of a large number of the cavities are opened in a contact state and, further, horizontal holes 19 opened in parallel to the center shaft are provided in contact with the holes 18 provided on the surface of the inner cylinder 13 at a constant interval and a molten synthetic resin is supplied from the side surface of the roll through the horizontal holes, the holes 18 and the grooves 15 to be subjected to vacuum molding by a large number of cavities so as to have uneven parts. In this case, one or many spiral grooves 16 having a constant angleθ2 of inclination from the center shaft and arranged so as not to come into contact with the grooves 15 of the outer cylinder are provided on the surface of the inner cylinder 13 and the hole 17 provided at the roll shaft 11 is connected to the grooves 16 and the hole 17 and the grooves 16 become flow channels of a cooling medium.
