SUSPENDED LOAD SWING PREVENTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the swing of a suspended load without lowering the efficiency of a load handling operation. SOLUTION: This method is to suspend a load comprising a head block 6, spreader 7 and a container C from a trolley 19 through sea side and land side lifting ropes 28 so that a distance between both ropes 28 is increased from a lower part to an upper part. When the trolley 19 is accelerated, the lifting rope 28 in the forward moving direction is taken up by a specified amount and the lifting rope 28 in the rearward moving direction is let out by a specified amount. When the trolley 19 is decelerated, the lifting rope 28 in the rearward moving direction is taken up by a specified amount and the lifting rope 28 in the forward moving direction is let out by a specified amount so as to vary the suspending anglesθ1 andθ2 of both lifting ropes 28 in order to suppress the swing of the suspended load by applying horizontal forces F1 and F2 according to the acceleration or deceleration of the trolley 19 to the suspended load.
