PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject copolymer rubber that can be crosslinked with atmospheric moisture at room temperature because of the contained hydrolyzable silyl groups. SOLUTION: This rubber contains hydrolyzable silyl groups represented by the formula (wherein R is a 1-12C monovalent hydrocarbon group; X is a hydrolyzable group selected from a hydride group, a halogen group, an alkoxyl group, an acyloxy group, a ketoximate group, an amide group, an acid amide group, and an aminoxy group; and n is 0, 1, or 2). The hydrolyzable group is particularly desirably an alkoxyl group. The rubber is desirably one having a Mooney viscosity ML1+4 (100 deg.C) of at most 80, particularly, at most 60. When used as an elastic sealing agent or an adhesive, it is desirably one having flowability at ordinary temperature. Further, it is desirably one having an iodine value or 1-30, particularly, 2-20. It is desirable that its ethylene content is 40-95 mol%, particularly, 50-70 mol%.
