摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency at the time of rendering a primitive or small span, to which texture processing is applied, by rendering each group of spans for which the primitive is divided, in a specified direction from an entry. SOLUTION: The primitive is divided into the group of 2N spans and further processed for a unit of M×N blocks of pixels (402 and 404). From the entry block, each of span groups is rendered while meandering in zigzags for each block first away from the long edge of the primitive and next toward the long edge (414, 416 and 418). At such a time, the pixel and texel information of the entry block is pushed onto a stack before rendering the other block (412). Besides, when the span group reaches a first end, value of the entry block is popped from the stack (416) and the rendering is restarted oppositely from the entry block (418).
