PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input device, a character input method, and a character input program which an operator can intuitively use while effectively using a limited space.SOLUTION: A character input device comprises: selection element generation means that generates a hierarchical element 601, a selection element with which a selection element 701 with which a region R701 and a character C701 are associated, and a selection element included in a hierarchy in hierarchical structure are associated; and selection element management means that manages a selection element by a hierarchical structure 500; if a selected selection element is the hierarchical element 601, it adjusts a region so that the representative selection element 701 can be immediately selected, and has drawing means draw a selection element constituting part of a hierarchy associated with the hierarchical element; and if the selected selection element is not a hierarchical element, it establishes a character associated with the selection element as an input character.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
