PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, lightweight, and simple device for measuring the concentration of cesium 134 capable of being operated without requiring high-level technique or knowledge and measuring a living creature at that place as an object to be inspected without requiring a lead shield, and a measurement method.SOLUTION: A portable and simple device for measuring cesium 134 comprises: two γ ray detectors juxtaposed to each other; a coincidence counter for counting only when two kinds of γ rays of 605 keV and 796 keV are coincidentally detected by the two γ ray detectors; and no shielding enclosure that is used for eliminating the interference of environmental backgrounds. |
