PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain road guidance by specifying a present position and an azimuth with high precision, and easily understandably reporting it by using a sign and a portable information terminal. SOLUTION: A sign 2 transmits area data S1 including a position and an azimuth, and a portable information terminal 3 receives the data S1 and operates road guidance. The terminal 3 specifies departure and target positions A and B in an area to be guided, and decides a route between signs adjacent to each position A and B. Then, the terminal 3 specifies the departure position A, and operates route guidance from the departure position A to a sign Pn0, from the signal Pn0 to a sign Pnm, and from the sign Pnm to the target position B. In this case, communication is operated between the sign 2 and the terminal 3 so that the present position or azimuth of the terminal 3 can be specified, and a detail action instruction including a route or distance between the departure position A and the target position B is visually outputted or voice-outputted by using the position of the sign 2 on the route as a relay position. |
