<p>A self-scanning light-emitting device in which the number of bonding pads can be decreased to three or two comprises a light-emitting element array including a large number of three-terminal light-emitting elements having an electrode for controlling the threshold voltage or threshold current and arranged linearly, an electric means having unidirectionality of voltage or current and interconnecting the control electrodes of adjacent light-emitting elements, two clock pulse lines for supplying a two-phase clock pulse to one of two remaining terminals of every other light-emitting element, and a power supply line connected with each control electrode of each light-emitting element through each load resistor, wherein the resistance of the load resistor connected with the control electrode of the light-emitting element emitting light first is lower than the resistance of the other load resistors.</p> |
