PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide battery box mounting structure for an electric vehicle allowing a battery box to be easily mounted to the lower face of a vehicle body from below to make battery box mounting work efficient. SOLUTION: An upper face 11 of a battery box 10 is provided with a first reference fitting bolt 31 and a second reference fitting bolt 35 with a space, and fitting nuts 38 dispersedly arranged. The respective reference fitting bolts 31, 35 disposed at the upper face 11 are inserted through a first reference hole 32 bored in a rear sub-frame 24, and a second reference hole 36 bored in a front sub-frame 22 respectively from below, and the respective reference fitting bolts 31, 35 are fastened by nuts 33 for the reference fitting bolts. Fitting bolts 40 are inserted from above into bolt insert holes 39 bored in the sub-frames 22, 23, 24, and fastened to the respective fitting nuts 38 to fix the battery box 10 to the respective sub-frames 22, 23, 24.
