PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the torque capacity of a coupling by making a cam have a large diameter, and facilitate assembling by reducing the number of part items to reduce cost. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a case state torque transmitting member 17 having large-diameter parts 21 and 23, a shaftlike torque transmitting member 7 penetrating the member 17, a main clutch 9 arranged between the members 17 and 7, a pilot clutch 11 intermittently operated by an operating means 15, and a cam 5 for receiving torque applied to the members 17 and 7 to be actuated to press the clutch 9 when the clutch 11 is linked; and the cam 5 is provided on the large-diameter part 23.
