PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape retaining apparatus which can retain the shape of a lining member as appropriate even in construction of a curved tunnel, and can improve the workability of shape retaining work. SOLUTION: According to the shape retaining apparatus, a mobile stand 15 is movably supported along a rail 14 on an overhanging stand 13 which is rearward extended from an excavator main body 11, and an inner cylinder 19 is vertically movably supported on the mobile stand 15 by a retractable jack 20. Then, an end of a spreader 24 which can be press-fitted into the internal peripheral surface of a segment S is movably supported at the front end of the inner cylinder 19, whereby the spreader 24 is moved by a slide jack 27.
