PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and easily install leaf valves of a speed proportional hydraulic shock absorber having damping force almost in proportion to a piston speed. SOLUTION: Both an extention (piston) side damping valve PV and a pressure base side damping valve BV are composed of leaf valves 116 to 118 having the same inner/outer diameter, leaf valves 117, 118 with a window provided with circular arc-shaped opening windows 117B, 118B for reducing outer peripheral side deflective rigidity are superimposed on the lower side of a leaf valve 116 opposed to an opening window 5E or 15E of a lower part of a piston 5 or a valve case 15, and an inner diameter of the opening windows of the leaf valves with a window becomes small in order from the leaf valve side. |
