PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed proportional hydraulic shock absorber having damping force almost in proportion to a piston speed up to a high speed area from a slow speed. SOLUTION: Both an extension (piston) side damping valve PV and a pressure (base) side damping valve BV are composed of leaf valves 116 to 119 having the same inner/outer diameter, leaf valves 117, 118 with a window provided with circular arc-shaped opening windows 117B, 118B for communicating with an orifice 116A of a perforated leaf valve are sandwiched between the perforated leaf valve 116 and a low speed area leaf valve 119 opposed to an opening window 5E or 15E of a lower part of a piston 5 or a valve case 15, and an inner diameter of the opening windows of the leaf valves with a window becomes smaller in order on the low speed area leaf valve side than the perforated leaf valve side. |
