PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner from adhering to a developing roller and other members in the development with one-component toner by using a developing roller. SOLUTION: This developing device 4 is provided with a supply roller 42 driven to be rotated while keeping press-contact to supply the one-component toner to a developing roller 41 by carrying and feeding the toner to a photoreceptor 1 carrying an electrostatic latent image, a regulating roller 43 for regulating the toner supplied to the roller 41 to a fixed amount, and a cleaning roller 45 keeping press-contact with the supply and the regulating rollers. At the time of finishing a developing operation, the rotation of the roller 41 is stopped and the rotation of the rollers 42, 43 and 45 is maintained for a specified time in accordance with the stop control of the rotation of the roller 41, and then bias voltage is switched and controlled so that electric field received by the toner is reverse. Thus, the toner existing between the rollers 41, 42 and 43 is removed and the adhesion of the toner in a state that the device 4 is stopped is prevented. |
