PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which the thickness of a toner layer n a developer roller surface is controlled to be sufficiently thin by sliding a regulating member on the surface of the developing roller and sticking of the toner on the regulating member is prevented for long-term use, and the electrification of the toner can be stabilized for a long time and deterioration in an image can be prevented. SOLUTION: The developing device is equipped with a developing roller 5 which carries toner on the surface and rotated and is brought into contact with or near the surface of an image carrying body having an electrostatic latent image formed on its surface so as to supply the toner to the surface of the image carrying body to visualize the electrostatic latent image, and a regulating member 4 to regulate the thickness of the toner depositing on the developing roller surface. The regulating member consists of a regulating member body 4a and a coating layer 4b formed on at least the part of the body to be in contact with the developing roller. The coating layer contains a condensed crosslinked product prepared by mixing at least one kind of compound among triazine resin, triazine resin derivatives and triazine condensed products into a resin or prepolymer having hydroxyl groups. |
