PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reception of unnecessarily large electronic mail by providing a reception size upper limit at the time of receiving the electronic mail and to make it recognizable that non-received mail is present. SOLUTION: Whether or not the size of the electronic mail to be received exceeds an upper limit size is judged, and in the case of judging that the size of the electronic mail exceeds the upper limit size, in a reception step, the header part of the electronic mail is received and a body part is not received. Thus, it is clearly indicated to a user that the non-received mail is present.
