PURPOSE: A turbine engine component is provided to improve heat transfer of a turbine engine component having treated surface using turbulation. CONSTITUTION: A turbine engine component(10) is provided that has a surface with a plurality of depressions, which is effective to increase the surface area. The depressions are generally concave in contour and improve the heat transfer characteristics of the component. A method of manufacturing a turbine engine part is also disclosed.
