PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting machine for a columnar member capable of reducing a size and a weight of the machine with a simple structure and preventing the damage, the breakage or the like of a wire saw due to a cutting heat or an overload. SOLUTION: The cutting machine for the columnar member comprises a base 1 detachably provided at the member 2, a driven frame 8 rotatably provided at its base end of the base, a drive pulley 15 rotatably provided by a drive means 14 at the base end of the frame, a driven pulley 16 rotatably supported to the front end of the driven frame, a wire saw 17 endlessly wound between the drive pulley and the driven pulley, a turning weight 21 provided at the other end of a wire 20 coupled at it one end to the end of the driven frame and suspended to rotate the driven frame by operating a tensile force in a direction crossing with a line for connecting the drive pulley to the driven pulley, and a cooling means 25 for cooling the saw at the drive or driven pulley. |
