PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submergible motor pump for drainage pump car capable of eliminating the risk of damaging a power cable and also eliminating an interference of the power cable with the other submergible motor pump or a delivery hose even when a plurality of submergible motor pumps are installed. SOLUTION: This motor pump comprises a submergible motor 3 and a pump P driven by the submergible motor 3. The direction of the power cable extraction port 2 of the submergible motor 3 is set in the same direction as that of the delivery direction of the pump. A power cable protective tube 10 is laid down in the area ranging from near the power cable extraction port 2 to a position exceeding a suction port 4, and a power cable 1 is stored in the power cable protective tube 10.
