PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanized rail grinder which automatically grinds the side surface and/or upper surface of a railroad rail. SOLUTION: A bogie 3 running on a pair of rails 1 and 2, a positioning means which positions the bogie 3, in rail width direction, to the rails 1 and 2, a grinding stone 28 which is fitted to the bogie 3 for advancing and receding relative to a rail head part and can grind the inside surface and/or upper surface of the rail head part, and a stopper 29 for regulating the advancement position of the grinding stone relative to the rail head part, are provided. |
