ORIFICE TYPE NOZZLE TO PREVENT CLOG OF NOZZLE DURING CONTINUOUS CASTING

PURPOSE: An orifice typed nozzle is provided to reduce casting defects and to prevent a reduction of the productivity by preventing a clog of a passage. CONSTITUTION: A step(14) is formed in an inner wall of a porous refractory(12) to be vertical for an axial direction of a nozzle(100). Ar gas is injected by reducing static pressure of the nozzle under the step(14). The step(14) is formed under 100mm from a brake surface(110). An external gas pool(6) of the step(14) is isolated by a separating wall(15). The Ar gas is supplied and a bubbling is performed by connecting Ar supply pipes(7,16) with an upper gas pool and a lower gas pool. Thereby, a sticking of the refractory in the nozzle and a clog of the nozzle are prevented by uniformly bubbling Ar bubbles.
