Cover consists of a shell with a chamber formed by supple layers. The chamber contains a flexible element providing rigidity to the outer supple layer and a rigid foam block. The inner supple layer is an elastomer impermeable to liquids and has a Tg below 0 deg C. The outer supple layer is woven synthetic, mineral or natural fibres and has tensile strength of /-100N/5cm in warp and weft directions. Cover (4) consists of a shell made from two or more components (5, 6) with a chamber formed by supple layers (10, 11). The chamber contains a flexible element (22) providing rigidity to the outer supple layer (11) and a rigid foam block (13). The inner supple layer (10) is of an elastomer that is impermeable to liquids and has a vitreous transition temperature below 0 deg C and especially below -60 deg C. The outer supple layer (11) is of woven synthetic, mineral or natural fibres, including silicon glass, cotton or carbon, and has a tensile strength of at least 100N/5cm in warp and weft directions.
