PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a fluorescent lamp lighting equipment which has an outstand ing on/off switching life of a fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: The fluorescent lamp lighting equipment is equipped with a power switching element (5, 6) electrically connected to a fluorescent lamp (8) having a pair of electrodes (8A, 8B) and a current limiting means (21, 20) to limit a current which flows in the power switching element (5, 6) by controlling a conductance of the power switching element (5, 6) to prevent the power switching element (5, 6) from being fractured by a large current flow which is generated in case of falling of an impedance between the pair of electrode (8A, 8B) from infinity, from a power-source line through the fluorescent lamp (8), at time of starting the fluorescence lamp (8). |
