PURPOSE: A method and device for leasing a commodity on a network is provided to perform a lease of a commodity through a network. CONSTITUTION: Lease commodity information is received from a plurality of lessors through a network(S500). The inputted lease commodity information is classified in accordance with a performing mode and stored in a lease commodity database(S502). If a lease commodity information searching requesting signal is inputted from a lessee being connected to a lease server through the network, lease commodity information is outputted in accordance with the corresponding requesting signal(S504). The lease server may include a reverse auction mode.
