Use of a composition comprising a component which is a liquid reaction product obtained by reacting one mole of a 4,4'-oxydiphtalic anhydride (5,5'-oxybis-1,3-isobenzo furandione) with two moles of one or more compounds of the general formula ROH, wherein R is a polymerizable unsaturated moiety having from 2 to 13 carbon atoms in the presence of an acid, base or suitable catalyst for the preparation of a dental restorative composition for binding to hard tooth, metal and ceramic.
