PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved joint for air conditioner, especially a joint having a low leak rate. SOLUTION: The inspection joint for an air conditioner comprises a valve body having a threaded bore and an annular valve seat extending around the bore. A screw open valve is disposed in the bore and screwed to the valve body. The valve has a valve element arranged to form a metal-metal seal in conjunction with the valve seat. The valve core is disposed in a second bore formed in the screw open valve and acts to open/close a fluid channel passing through the second bore selectively. The valve body also has a quick link shoulder disposed around the bore. An associated supply joint comprises a quick release mechanism, a wrench for turning the screw open valve, and a valve core depressor for opening the valve core.
