PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, and its controlling method, in which recognition of instruction can be extended. SOLUTION: In the method for controlling the operation of an air conditioner by receiving and recognizing a vocal operational instruction, a vocal input of concrete operational conditions is requested for an operator when a vocal operational instruction received from the operator can not be recognized. Concrete operational conditions vocally delivered from the operator in response to the request are then recognized and operation is performed according to the instruction. Thereafter, the initially unrecognizable operational instruction is recognized as concrete operational conditions delivered vocally from the operator. |
