<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, high precision, and easy-to-use device relating to a projection type liquid crystal display device according to this invention. SOLUTION: This is a projection type liquid crystal display device, and the projection type liquid crystal display element is provided with a display part having transistors and pixel electrodes connected with the transistors on a substrate, a semiconductor substrate with a built-in driving circuit part for driving the display part, a transparent substrate with transparent electrodes formed thereon, and a liquid crystal layer held between the semiconductor substrate and the transparent substrate; the display part is composed of plural pixels, and each pixel has a switching circuit with a multiple input terminals and one output terminal, and plural voltage input lines connected to the multiple terminals, always supplied with different voltages; and the switching circuit performs the display in a multi-value state by switching the inputs from the voltage input lines connected with the multiple input terminal according to the signals from the driving circuit part.</p> |
