MAGENTA COLORING MATERIAL COMPOSITION AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a clear magenta coloring material composition having high functional characteristics and sufficient lightness which uses neither a method for hydrolyzing expensive metal alkoxides nor highly flammable organic solvents and does not requires explosion-proof facilities in its manufacturing equipment and is easy to control temperature and humidity and can be inexpensively obtained collectively as to the cost of products, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The magenta coloring material comprises magenta colored powder which has at least one layer of a coating film formed on the surfaces of base particles by the reaction of a metal salt in an aqueous solvent and exhibits a reflective spectrum having peaks between 350 and 450 nm and between 700 and 850 nm, respectively, and a bottom between 700 and 850 nm, and furthermore it is preferred that at least one layer of the coating film is constituted of an assembly of crystallized fine particles having voids.
