PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a tire component wherein the tire component can be efficiently manufactured by few processes, and miniaturization of the manufacturing apparatus and reduction of an installing space and equipment investment can be achieved while a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a crude tire is provided. SOLUTION: A rubber coated code 2 is helically wound on a mandrel 18 so as to be partly overlapped, and a cord-contained cylindrical component 3 is formed. Then, the cord-contained cylindrical component 3 is helically cut to manufacture a beltlike tire component 4.
