PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifying device capable of efficiently decomposing a harmful component by performing treatment under the most suitable condition in the case that a harmful material is decomposed by using an excimer lamp. SOLUTION: In the water purifying device comprising a muddy component removing part for removing a muddy component of the water to be treated and a harmful component removing part in which UV rays are irradiated from the excimer lamp, an electrolyzing part for electrolyzing the water is provided at the upstream side of the harmful component removing part, and the alkaline ionized water formed at the electrolyzing part is treated at the harmful component removing part.
