<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone that can inexpensively realize roaming between portable telephone systems in operation by different communication protocols. SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of a Sync channel message sent from a base station in an Init state, the portable telephone reads a P-REV field denoting a communication protocol in operation in a mobile telephone system. When the communication protocol is the T53, processing procedures to be executed in Idle state - Traffic channel state are executed as they are, but when the communication protocol in operation is the IS95, the radio communication is controlled by executing other processing procedures in place of any processing procedure among the processing procedures to be executed in the Idle state - Traffic channel state.</p> |
