<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATM communication system that can easily identify that from which ATM communication unit received data are transmitted. SOLUTION: The ATM communication unit of this invention is an ATM communication unit that communicates with a terminal by using a packet or a frame sent from the terminal and is provided with a host layer protocol processing section 11 that receives the packet or frame from the terminal 14 and converts it into prescribed intermediate layer data, an identification information processing section 12 that adds identification information denoting a sender to the intermediate layer data, and an ATM cell conversion section 13 that converts the intermediate layer data with the identification information added to them into ATM cells.</p> |
