PURPOSE: To provide a valve drive eliminating a failure such as liquid leakage caused by damage of an opening, even if a valve element vibrates by receiving vibration of the liquid in a valve element opening state, which often causes the damage of the opening part (part for installing the valve element). CONSTITUTION: This valve drive opens/closes a valve port 7av by closely sticking the spherical valve element 3a to the opening part (valve port 7av) of a valve joint 7a as a fluid channel or by forming a prescribed clearance therebetween. This drive is incorporated with such a structure that, when the valve sphere 3a is in an opening state, the valve sphere 3a goes out of a transfer face 7c formed in the valve port 7av and having a same curvature as the surface curvature of the valve sphere 3a, is positioned in a slope face 7d as a valve element holding part formed in a part continuing from the transfer face 7c to the opening part side, and presses and holds the opened-state valve sphere 3a in the position by a pressing force of a plate part 11 in a plate spring 10.
