PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear-drive type form rolling method and a device therefor in which unevenness of any arbitrary shape with deep engraving can be efficiently formed with high precision. SOLUTION: Mandrels 20A, 20B are press-fitted in a cavity in the axial direction of a stock while holding the stock 18 of deformed section between an upper die 12 and a lower die 14 having unevenness 12-1 on an inner surface thereof, the material of the stock is expanded by the metal flow toward the unevenness 12-1 of the upper die 12 by tapered portions 20-2, 20-4 of the mandrel and expansion portions 20-3, 20-5 continuous thereto, and a shape copying the unevenness 12-1 of the inner circumference of the upper die is formed on the outer circumference of the stock 18. The stock 18 has the piercing cavity between ends thereof, and the mandrel 20A and the mandrel 20B are simultaneously press-fitted from one end of the stock 18 and the other end of the stock 18, respectively in the right-and-left direction.
