PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive laminate excellent in heat resistance and gas barrier properties and a container formed using the same. SOLUTION: [1] The laminate includes a film comprising a liquid crystal polymer showing optical anisotropy at the time of melting and a film obtained by applying a liquid containing polysilazane. [2] The laminate includes the films described in [1] and a main structure of polysilazane is represented by structural formula 1 (wherein, R1, R2 and R3 are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group or an aryl group). [3] The laminate includes the laminate described in [1] or [2] and a film comprising a thermoplastic resin (excepting the liquid crystal polymer). [4] The laminate is manufactured by coating the film comprising the liquid crystal polymer showing optical anisotropy at the time of melting with the liquid containing polysilazane and baking the coated film. [5] The container is formed using the laminate discribed in either one of [1]-[3].
