PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installing structure of a metallic pipe and an installing method of the metallic pipe preventing large deforming force from acting on a press-in part and a press-in object of the metallic pipe and capable of improving reliability of a metallic pipe installing part. SOLUTION: In this metallic pipe 24 pressed in a cylinder body 4, a thin part 24a as a low rigidity part is arranged in a position adjacent to the press-in part (a thick part 24b). Thus, even if some force is applied in the direction orthogonal to a shaft to the tip of the metallic pipe 24 existing on the outside, the thin part 24a is deformed before deforming the press-in part of the metallic pipe 24 and the cylinder body 4. Thus, deformation of the press-in part of the metallic pipe 24 and the cylinder body 4 can be prevented. Thus, reduction in a slipping-out load of the metallic pipe 24 is checked, and the reliability of the metallic pipe installing part can be improved.
